Legwarmers emerged in the late 1970s, peaked in popularity in the early 1980s, and were out of fashion by the late 1980s. Though the trend was short-lived, legwarmers remain a famous pop culture symbol of the 1980s. They were featured in movies and made fashionable by celebrities.
To date leg warmers have resurfaced with some fabulous appeal.
